Colanbeen has been a fixture in the East Flanders region for over 35 years. What began as a local fish shop on Schoolstraat in Assenede grew into a respected supplier serving both private customers and top restaurants. The company is known for its personal approach — every customer is a partner. This philosophy aligns perfectly with De Witte Leeuw, where personal service matters just as much as the quality of the food.

Partner of De Witte Leeuw

The collaboration begins. De Witte Leeuw discovers Colanbeen as a reliable supplier of daily-fresh fish and jumbo mussels.

Digital innovation

Colanbeen launches a webshop and modernises the ordering process. Orders are processed and delivered even more efficiently.

Growing partnership

The collaboration deepens. Colanbeen becomes the exclusive supplier of mussels, salmon, scampi and sole for De Witte Leeuw.

We serve them five ways: nature, white wine, garlic cream, provençale and our secret house recipe with Ricard and curry. Portions are generous, because our guests deserve the best.
