De Witte Leeuw is open daily from 11:00 to 23:30, for both lunch and dinner. The kitchen serves continuously throughout the day. We recommend making a reservation for dinner, especially on weekends and during the summer months.

A reservation is not required but is strongly recommended. You can book online via our reservation page or by phone at +32 9 223 48 58. Please reserve at least 4 hours in advance. For groups of 8 or more, a reservation is required.

Starters range from EUR 17.50 to EUR 34. Main courses vary from EUR 22.50 to EUR 73 (côte à l’os for 2 persons). An average dinner with starter and main course comes to approximately EUR 45–60 per person, excluding drinks. Salads are available from EUR 15 for a lighter lunch.

Yes, De Witte Leeuw has a terrace with views over the Graslei and the Leie river. The terrace is available in good weather, typically from March to October. It is one of the most beautiful terrace locations in all of Ghent, overlooking the historic guild houses on the Korenlei.

The Graslei is one of the most iconic and photographed locations in Ghent. The restaurant is easily accessible on foot from Sint-Baafsplein (5 minutes) and Ghent-Sint-Pieters station (20 minutes walking or 10 minutes by tram 1).

Absolutely. The combination of the historic location on the Graslei, the warm atmosphere, and the classic Belgian cuisine makes De Witte Leeuw an excellent choice for a romantic dinner. We recommend reserving a table by the window or on the terrace (in good weather) for the best views over the Leie river.
